Head of School
As the first and finest independent school in the capital region, Albany Academy has always been dedicated to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow through a comprehensive and dynamic leadership program. Our unwavering commitment to this mission is reflected in our curriculum, which is designed to provide students with multifaceted opportunities to develop and apply leadership skills across various aspects of student life. From engaging in student government, participating in leadership classes, taking active roles within our house system, and contributing to community service initiatives, our students are encouraged to lead with integrity and confidence. Through weekly leadership classes and advising periods, students explore different leadership styles and the distinction between leading and following, ensuring that each individual finds their unique path to leadership. This hands-on approach fosters self-assurance and responsibility, equipping our students with the essential skills to excel as leaders in an ever-evolving world.
The impact of our leadership education program is reflected in the achievements of our distinguished alumni and alumnae, many of whom have made meaningful contributions across a wide range of industries and hold senior leadership roles in the organizations they serve. From Chief Executive Officer to United States Ambassador, Executive Producer to Admiral, Court Justice to President, Partner to Department Chair, and General to Editor-in-Chief, our graduates' success is a testament to the enduring impact of an Albany Academy education. Their achievements reflect the values, discipline, and vision instilled at Albany Academy, inspiring future generations to lead with purpose and distinction.
