AAG Council Update | November 2025

Dear Academy Community,

It's amazing how quickly the school year moves once it begins. One minute we’re at Opening Assembly, and the next we’re cheering at Homecoming and admiring the creative themes and costumes of Bacon Bat. The energy and enthusiasm from students, faculty, and alumnae alike remind us why the Academy experience stays with us long after graduation.

We’re also excited to share that nominations are now open for the Albany Academy for Girls Athletic Hall of Fame for class years ending in 1 and 6. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate excellence and honor the women who helped define what it means to be an Academy athlete. Whether it’s a teammate, classmate, or even yourself, nominate someone today and help us recognize their achievements.

This fall, we’ve welcomed new members to the Alumnae Council who are eager to create more opportunities to strengthen our community. From building connections across regions to reimagining traditions, we hope you’ll find ways to stay involved, wherever you are.

As we head into the holidays, I hope you’ll join us for our AAG & AA Joint Annual Alum Holiday Party on Saturday, December 27th, from 5 to 8 p.m. (location TBD). It’s free to attend, and RSVPs are now open. Come celebrate the season, catch up with old friends, and toast to our shared history and bright future.

Wishing you a joyful and grateful holiday season,

Amari Duncan ’14
President, AAG Alumnae Association
