Alumni Association Update | November 2025

Dear Albany Academy Alumni and Community,

As the season changes, it’s an exciting time on campus and across our Alumni Association community. We are pleased to share the announcement of our next Head of School, Michael G. Turner, who will officially begin his tenure on July 1, 2026. We look forward to welcoming him into the Academy community in the months ahead.

Homecoming was a success, fueled by incredible student energy and standout performances on the field. Congratulations to our soccer team on their win over Lansingburgh and to our football team, who earned a thrilling 24–22 victory against The Harvey School. 

I’d also like to encourage alumni, families, and friends to submit nominations for the Athletics Hall of Fame. Nomination forms are available on the Academy website, and your participation helps us honor the excellence and traditions that define the Academy.

Looking ahead, I hope you’ll join us during the holiday season for a few great Academy traditions:

• Arts Winter Wassail – December 11 at 5:00 PM, Caird Chapel
• Frank O’Brien Alumni Hockey Game – December 27 at 5:00 PM
• Annual Alumnae and Alumni Holiday Gathering (location TBD) – December 27 from 5:00–8:00 PM

These events offer wonderful opportunities to reconnect and celebrate the year together.
