Albany Academy is pleased to announce the Summer 2026 placements for Academy Connections, the school’s alumnae/i and family-powered internship program that places Upper School students directly into professional environments across the Capital Region.

In its second year, the 2026 program drew strong interest, with more than 50 Albany Academy students submitting applications across a wide range of fields. Placements were competitive and awarded based on a combination of academic records, relevant activities, and application essay quality.

About Academy Connections

Academy Connections was created to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional experience, leveraging Albany Academy's alumnae/i and family networks to open doors for current students. Placements are facilitated by a faculty committee, each of whom maintains relationships with host organizations in their respective areas.

Students interested in applying for Summer 2027 are encouraged to contact Mr. Pete Hansen ’91, P’28, ’30, program lead, who can connect you with the committee overseeing the Connections program. The committee notes that passion for a field, demonstrated through both activities and writing, is as important as academic performance when placements are awarded.
