Inspiring Young Minds, Building Bright Futures

At Albany Academy Lower School, we cultivate a love of learning, curiosity, and confidence in our youngest students. With a strong foundation in academic excellence and personal growth, our Lower School nurtures independent thinkers, problem-solvers, and compassionate leaders from the very start.

Every child is encouraged to explore, ask questions, and engage in hands-on learning experiences. With daily movement, dynamic STEAM Innovation Labs, and a student-centered approach to learning, our classrooms are joyful, engaging, and designed to support the whole child.

Through rigorous academics, innovative learning experiences, and a focus on personal growth, Albany Academy Lower School lays the foundation for future success. Here, young learners develop the skills and confidence to step into Middle School and beyond as engaged, thoughtful, and inspired leaders.

It’s great being a student here. The community is great, they’re so kind, they’re always helping you in a new way. Always there for you when you need help. Everyone is welcome. One of my favorite things is gym. Don’t know how to ice skate? We’ll teach you how to skate, it’s part of the curriculum! I actually didn’t know how to swim before I came here. Academy taught me how to swim! MARGOT D., '33
