Our Mission & Vision
Academy Summer offers K–12 students meaningful programs that reflect the best of the Albany Academy experience. Our team creates a welcoming environment where students explore interests, build skills, and enjoy hands‑on learning. Each program blends structure and creativity, giving every child, from rising Kindergarteners to high schoolers, an engaging and age‑appropriate summer experience.
A Letter from the Director
Dear Academy Summer Families,
I am thrilled to share our newly redesigned summer programs with you. This year brings exciting growth across all age groups as we introduce new Academies, broaden our specialty offerings, and build experiences that bring learning, creativity, athletics, and exploration to life in fresh and meaningful ways.
My goal has been simple: to create the most joyful, enriching, and memorable summer possible for every child who joins us.
We’ve added opportunities for students to discover new interests, strengthen skills, and enjoy experiences that feel both purposeful and fun. From our youngest learners trying something for the first time to our older students exploring deeper interests, Academy Summer is designed to offer each child a summer that feels engaging, exciting, and uniquely their own.
I am also incredibly proud of the exceptional teachers and coaches joining us this year. Many are Albany Academy faculty and staff; others are highly regarded educators from across the region and beyond. Their passion and expertise elevate every program and ensure your child is learning from people who truly love what they do.
To provide families with even more flexibility, we’ve expanded what students can experience before and after regular program hours. Options like Mindful Morning, Sports Start!, and our new Four O’Clock Club give students a warm, meaningful start to the day and engaging opportunities to continue learning, playing, and connecting in the afternoon.
Whether your child is drawn to the arts, STEM, athletics, leadership, or cultural exploration, you’ll find thoughtfully designed experiences for every stage of development.
As the Director of Summer Programs, I want families to feel welcomed and excited from the moment they begin exploring our offerings! I’m always happy to speak with families and answer questions or help you navigate choices so you can feel confident about the summer ahead. Creating a warm, inclusive experience is at the heart of what we do, and I can’t wait for you to experience Academy Summer at its very best.
