Financial Aid FAQ

To begin your Financial Aid application, please follow these steps:

1. Go to https://auth.clarityapp.com/en/signup/ to create your account.
2. Start with household and applicant information.
3. Select “Albany Academy” as the school to which you are applying.
4. Sign and Submit Form 4506c to give Clarity permission to access your tax returns. This means you will not have to upload any of them yourself.
5. Pay the application fee.

Financial Aid and Admissions decisions are released simultaneously. To ensure a smooth process, we encourage families to apply for Financial Aid at the same time they submit their application for admission.

We require both natural parents to contribute to the cost of education to the fullest extent of their ability and cannot consider claims that one parent has disclaimed responsibility for educational expenses. Both natural parents, as well as any step-parents, must complete a Clarity Financial Aid application. Financial Aid awards will only be determined once both parents have fully participated in the application process.

The Financial Aid Committee reviews requests based on the information provided in your application and supporting tax documents. To ensure a smooth process, please complete your Clarity Financial Aid application as thoroughly as possible. Incomplete or unclear information may result in delays.

Financial Aid awards typically cover between 10% and 50% of a student’s tuition.

As part of the Financial Aid process, students will also be considered for scholarship opportunities. Scholarships are awarded in March and April, so we encourage families to apply as early as possible to maximize their opportunities.

Financial Aid awards are renewable each year, provided the student’s demonstrated need continues, they remain in good standing, and funds are available. Families must submit a new Financial Aid application annually by the published deadline to be considered for renewal.
