Wednesday afternoon marked a milestone moment at Albany Academy as the community gathered to honor 14 members of the Class of 2026 who have officially committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Families, coaches, teammates, and teachers filled the room, many of whom have supported these student-athletes from their very first practice, creating a truly celebratory atmosphere. Representing programs across Division I, II, and III, these seniors are seeing years of dedication and discipline culminate in an achievement they’ve long worked toward. Their commitments span a wide range of sports and institutions, underscoring the strength and depth of Academy athletics.

Over the last decade, we have averaged 17% of seniors going on to NCAA opportunities each year, twice the national average. In recent memory, the Class of 2026 is trending toward one of the highest percentages of students in a class moving on to compete at the NCAA level, and with additional commitments anticipated this spring, the success of the Class of 2026 continues to grow.
