Women's Basketball Claims Fourth Straight Sectional Title, Advances to Regionals

UPDATE MARCH 11:

Albany Academy women's basketball advances to the State Regionals against the Peru Nighthawks out of Section VII. The game will be held at Hudson Vally Community College on March 13 at 5 p.m.

UPDATE MARCH 8: 

Albany Academy’s women's basketball team captured its fourth consecutive Section 2 title on Sunday, defeating Holy Names 58–45 in the Class A championship game at Hudson Valley Community College.

With the win, Albany Academy continues an impressive run of postseason success, earning Section 2 titles in 2023, 2024, 2025, and now 2026.

The Bears advance to regional play as they continue their pursuit of a state championship.

Congratulations to our student-athletes and coaches on an exceptional accomplishment!

Albany Academy women's basketball beat Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 64-36 on February 26. Congratulations, Bears!

They will advance to the semifinals on Wednesday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Hudson Valley Community College.

We are excited to announce that our women's basketball team has earned the #1 seed in Class A sectional play!

Join us as we host two Class A Quarterfinal games on Thursday, February 26:

• Game 1: 6 p.m.
• Albany Academy Game: Approximately 7:30 p.m.

Per New York State Public High School Athletic Association sectional guidelines, all students, parents, and community members must purchase tickets ($6) online through the GoFan app.
