Jack Louridas ’26 Commits to Yale

Albany Academy junior Jack Louridas takes a jumper over St. Joseph’s senior Gionni Zelasko on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, in Albany, NY.

Albany Academy is proud to share that Jack Louridas ’26 recently committed to play men’s basketball at Yale University. Jack averaged 17.2 points and 6.3 rebounds in the 2024-2025 season, leading the Cadets to a stellar 22–2 season and a state championship.

As shared with the Times Union, before making his commitment, Jack sought out fellow Cadet and Yale alum August Mahoney ’19, whose insights helped in Jack's final decision. This is a powerful reminder that Academy bonds extend far beyond graduation—and how collective impact helps guide students well into their futures.

Congratulations, Jack! We can’t wait to see all you accomplish in New Haven and beyond.
